These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of TrustedWeb services provided at trustedweb.site and related subdomains. By using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services

TrustedWeb provides:

  • External Security Scanning: Automated checks of your website's SSL, security headers, CMS, plugins, blacklist status, and trust score.
  • SEO & Conversion Scanning: Analysis of meta tags, headings, Open Graph, CTAs, trust signals and conversion elements.
  • AI Fix Center: AI-powered generation of meta tags, FAQ schema, privacy policies, CTA sections and prioritized fix plans.
  • TrustedWeb Agent: A WordPress plugin you install on your site for deep internal scanning, malware detection, and auto-fix.
  • WooCommerce Deep Scan: Specialized scanning for WooCommerce stores — checkout skimmers, payment hijacks, plugin vulnerabilities.
  • Uptime Monitoring: 1-minute website availability checks, response time tracking, SSL expiry monitoring, and downtime alerts.
  • AI Chatbot: AI-powered chatbot trained on your website content, embeddable via a single script tag.
  • Trust Badges: Embeddable SVG badges (Scanned, Secure, Verified, Platinum) based on your site's security status.
  • Reports: PDF scan reports, CSV/JSON exports, and scheduled automated reports.

2. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use our services.
  • One person or entity per account. Sharing accounts is not permitted.

3. Plans and Billing

3.1 Free Tier

Free users may run external scans with rate limiting (5 scans per hour per IP). Free scan results show a summary — detailed reports, AI fixes and monitoring require a paid plan.

3.3 Payment

Payments are processed via PayPal. All prices are in USD. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.

3.4 Refunds

See our Refund Policy for full details. In summary: 14-day money-back guarantee on monthly plans; 60-day guarantee on lifetime deals. Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time; no refund for the current billing period.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to:

  • Only scan websites you own or have explicit authorization to scan
  • Not use our services for illegal activity, unauthorized penetration testing, or attacking third-party systems
  • Not attempt to circumvent rate limits, access controls, or security measures
  • Not resell access to your account (except Agency plan reseller features)
  • Not use automated tools to scrape or abuse our API beyond your plan limits

5. Domain Verification

You must register your domain(s) in your dashboard before using advanced features. Deep scanning (via Agent) requires the TrustedWeb Agent plugin installed on the target site. You are responsible for ensuring you have legal authority to scan and modify sites you register.

6. AI Fix & AI Chatbot

  • AI-generated content (meta tags, policies, FAQ, CTA sections) is provided as a starting point and should be reviewed before use.
  • AI Fix uses monthly action quotas based on your plan. Cached results for the same domain and fix type do not consume quota.
  • AI Chatbot is trained on publicly accessible content from your website URL. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information it provides to your visitors.
  • We are not liable for any consequences arising from the use of AI-generated content on your website.

7. Trust Badges

  • Badges reflect the security status at the time of the most recent scan.
  • Badges may be downgraded automatically if new issues are detected.
  • Badges must not be used on sites not registered in your account.
  • We reserve the right to revoke badges from sites that no longer meet criteria.
  • Agency plan badges may use custom branding; all other badges use TrustedWeb branding.

8. Auto-Fix and Malware Cleanup

  • Auto-fix features modify files on your server (e.g., .htaccess, wp-config.php, file permissions).
  • We create backups before making changes, but you are responsible for maintaining your own backups.
  • We are not liable for data loss, downtime, or unintended side effects caused by auto-fix actions you authorize.
  • Auto-fix does not modify custom code, database content (except cleaning known injection patterns), or third-party API configurations.

9. Uptime Monitoring

  • Uptime checks are performed at the interval specified by your plan (1 minute for Starter/Growth, 30 seconds for Pro/Agency).
  • We send email alerts when your site goes down and when it recovers.
  • Uptime data is retained according to your plan (7 days to 1 year).
  • We do not guarantee 100% monitoring accuracy. Network conditions, DNS resolution, and server location may affect results.

10. Agency Reseller Terms

Agency plan users may resell features to their clients under their own branding. Agency resellers:

  • Are responsible for their clients' compliance with these Terms
  • May not misrepresent TrustedWeb's capabilities or scan results
  • Must maintain an active Agency subscription to use reseller features
  • May use custom branding on badges, reports and dashboard as permitted by the plan

11. API Usage

  • REST API access is available to Pro and Agency plans.
  • API keys are confidential and must not be shared publicly.
  • API rate limits apply: 30 requests/second for standard endpoints.
  • We may throttle or suspend API access for abuse or excessive usage.

12. Limitation of Liability

  • TrustedWeb is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.
  • We do not guarantee that scans will detect all vulnerabilities, malware, or security issues.
  • We are not liable for losses resulting from undetected threats, false positives, or auto-fix side effects.
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12A. Lifetime Deal Terms

The following additional terms apply to lifetime deal purchases:

  • Lifetime access means access for the lifetime of the TrustedWeb product, not the lifetime of the purchaser. As long as TrustedWeb is actively maintained, your access remains valid.
  • Lifetime deals include all current features and future minor updates at no additional cost.
  • Future premium modules that require significant ongoing infrastructure costs (e.g., advanced AI models, malware cleanup marketplace, enterprise compliance center, premium API tiers) may be offered as optional paid add-ons and are not guaranteed to be included in the lifetime deal.
  • AI actions and website slot limits are fixed to the purchased tier. Monthly AI action quotas reset on the 1st of each month.
  • Lifetime deals are non-transferable unless purchased under an Agency tier (Tier 4-5) with reseller rights.
  • Abuse, excessive automation, account sharing beyond your team, or using the platform to build a competing service may result in account review and, after prior notice, suspension.
  • Lifetime deal purchases include a 60-day money-back guarantee. After 60 days, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.
  • In the unlikely event that TrustedWeb ceases operations, we will provide at least 12 months' advance notice and offer full data export.

These terms supplement the general Terms above. In case of conflict, the Lifetime Deal Terms take precedence for lifetime deal purchases.

12B. Fair Use Policy

All TrustedWeb plans, including lifetime deals, are subject to our fair use policy. This ensures the platform remains fast, reliable, and affordable for all users.

  • Use the platform within your tier's allocated website slots and AI action limits.
  • Do not use automated scripts to mass-scan thousands of URLs beyond your tier's allocation.
  • Do not share your account credentials with users outside your organization or team.
  • Do not use the API or platform to build a competing scanning or SEO tool.
  • Chatbot usage should reflect genuine customer support, not bulk content generation.

If your usage consistently exceeds 10x the normal pattern for your tier, we will contact you to discuss options (such as an add-on upgrade) before taking any restrictive action. We will never suspend an account without prior written notice, except in cases of clearly malicious activity (e.g., DDoS, credential stuffing, illegal content distribution).

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may cancel your account at any time via the dashboard or by emailing [email protected]. Upon termination, your scan data will be deleted within 30 days.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or dashboard notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable international law. Disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation before any formal proceedings.
